Watching you

‘Every move you make. Every click you take. Every game you play. Every place you stay. They’ll be watching you.’

Strange, that people believe they know everything about you, and that they can use that information to get things out of you, because they have electronic records of some of your activities.

This is another form of modern mythology—people thinking that by their research and reasoning and data gathering they have real knowledge about real things 'out there.'

But no, it isn't so. Even the conclusions of the best scientists are still mythology, no better than that of the ancients who used tales of gods and heroes to explain the universe.

We have only upgraded our tools and refined our systems, but everything we think we know is nothing more than the human mind taking in as much as it can and trying to make sense out of it.

It is all still just mythology—symbols pointing to realities that we cannot really know, only describe as best we can.

Back to what this company does, or what any data gathering machine does, they are only gathering data on the observable universe, just on a human scale.

Nothing they think they know about us can curtail our freedom as God-created and Christ-redeemed eternal beings. They can take nothing away with them that we don't give them.

As Christ tells us moment by moment, 'Do not fear, it is I,' to emphasize and reinforce in us the truth (not a mere myth) that He is with us, just as He promises, until the end of the age.

And furthermore that only One knows everything about us, and everything about them who think they know everything about us, and it is He, and He alone.

Glory to God, yes, to the Being whose greatness is only magnified the deeper we probe His creation, for wherever we turn, He is there.

This is why He tells us, wasting no words, 'In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world' (John 16:33).
