Day In, Day Out

Day in, day out,
how to dash these images of doubt
Is the bridge we're on gonna hold our weight?
Can we walk there together on the other side
where the mountain walls
are sliced by waterfalls,
where you and I can go sometimes
to wash our faces as we dip our crimes
and clean out wounds inflicted by our pride?

What were those moments, then?
We stood astride an edge outside of time
and held each other like two long-lost friends,
and saying nothing, pressed on to our ends,
you to yours, and I …to mine

Day in, day out,
how to dash these images of doubt
Is the road we're on gonna reach our height?
Can we climb it together past the cloudy top
where the thunder rolls
from beneath our souls,
where you and I can run above the rain
and see our sunlight as we bare our pain
and clear the path ahead and never stop?

What were those moments, then?
We stood astride an edge outside of time
and held each other like two long-lost friends,
and saying nothing, pressed on to our ends,
you to yours, and I …to mine

As Christians live their lives each day, they need to follow a path in which they are guided by Christ.

If Christians do this each day, their path will eventually lead them to heaven.
