Overheard at the gates

…you are not a merely religious man but one who walks in the Truth.

Following Jesus, we can do what He does (never say 'did' with Jesus: He is still the most active Person alive in the history of the universe), and knowing Him and being known by Him, can have a perfect certainty that defies doctrine.

We can be afraid of nothing, not of people, not of events, not of ideas, not of questionings, not of our strengths or our weaknesses, not of the past, not of the present, not of the future, because He is the One
who was, who is, who is to come.’

Welcome, brother, and be welcomed, to the house that is a heart that has entrances but no exits. Maybe we will find each other there in spite of the great crowd of witnesses, where everyone is ‘a firstborn son and citizen of heaven.’

For there is no one there who hasn't been drawn to Jesus by the Father, no one who is an outcast to Him who transforms water into wine, sin into righteousness, hell into heaven, death into life, no matter what we look like to the world.

Go with Him, brother, and walk hand in hand in the kingdom of crowds, invisible to the world but under the watchful eye of Christ who is our wisdom, our strength, our covering, our rock of salvation, and still, even our brother.

Go with Him, brother, and there only, walk in the perfect freedom of the sons of God.
