The hardest thing in the world to do is forgive, and that’s a lot more than saying ‘sorry,’ but that’s where it has to start.
Forgiveness is a mystery, like marriage, like being born again,
like receiving communion, like giving your life to save another’s.
You can't think about it, you can't write about it, you can't speak about it, ahead of time: when you're there, all you can do is do it,
and once done, it clears away all the clutter of the past and makes
the road ahead clear and bright as well.
It’s the point in time at which something unimaginable from outside the world enters in. It is a moment of absolute and pure grace.
