A blasphemous image

I saw the image of Harry Potter in the parody of the ikon of Christ with the book of the Gospels on a blog called OrthoDixie, which an Antiochian priest in Texas publishes. I was horrified that a priest would copy this image and further broadcast it on his own blog!

I emailed my god-brother and warned him not to look, but it was too late. He had seen it, as I have, and now you too, and many thousands of others. It is enough to know such blasphemy exists, but we should completely ignore it, look the other way, do not think of it.

The enemy of our souls just wants to throw us into continual and hellish controversy, an interminable battle like the one he must endure for eternity because of his rebellion.

Do not even bother to protest the blasphemous image. Do not mention it. Just ignore it. This has nothing to do with the living Christ, our Lord. Let's just keep our eyes on Him, and beg the mercy of the Father on our souls, to save us from the one who has endangered the world by yet another lash of the whip.

Little does he know that even that lash, paining the Body of Christ, will lead more to the font of Salvation, to Christ's precious Blood, than anything he might do to keep them from it.
