Church Dress Code, subtitled A Paper on Proper Clothing for the Christian Woman, will seem totally out of touch, if not out of line. But the author is no doctrinaire pundit, but a careful and balanced thinker, researcher and writer, who just happens to be a woman following Jesus. This is recommended reading, as something essential that has been neglected, and no matter what the current state of culture happens to be, here in America or anywhere in the ‘Christian’ world, we need to have these truths again brought to our attention. Not all revolutions are irreversible. Some may need to be reversed if a culture is to survive at all. In this blog Aunt Melanie has provided us with a well-grounded sketch of Christian womanhood written from within the species—not men telling women what they should do, as in some religious cultures, but as ‘woman to woman’—the other half of the Body of Christ. That is how it should, no, must be. Glory to God.
